Start drinking whiskey with your pint.

They wont appreciate you at all if you drink whiskey - better to be drinking the native whisky.

Dunno a single person who's spent time in Glasgow who has a bad word to say about it.

Meant to be an amazing nightlife and the people are generally really friendly.

Goes at odds with the place having the highest murder rate in western Europe I know but suppose like anywhere it's easy to avoid the shit as long as you're not a spastic or very unlucky.

If offered I'd move there in a heartbeat.

Scotland is great in the summer, although the midges can be bad I'm told.

Whether it rains or not, just have a few wee drams like the rest of them, you'll soon forget about it.

It rains all the fucking time! It's windy and you'll hate it. Lively scenery but that's about it!

Moffat, and most of Dumfriesshire, are really good places, as long as you're not addicted to the bright lights.

I agree, Edinburgh is nice like the people but I'd prefer west coast for nice scenery but I might look into it,

I've been working up in Edinburgh for the last six months and have been pleasantly surprised, people are friendly and down to earth, crime is low and if you like the outdoor life, golf, fishing and sailing then it's for you. The summer this year has been unusually good so any where is nice when the sun is shining. St Andrews and the Fife coastline is superb.
I watched the England v Italy game in a crowded pub in Glasgow city centre, the roof lifted when Italy scored, my missus was the only one that cheered when Sturridge scored, 300 pairs of eyes on us followed by ' remember, you're behind enemy lines' from a local. To be fair it was all banter, we had a good time.
Surprisingly there are a lot of English living up there, but they all say how they miss that extra 5 degrees of warmth in the south.
